ROOSEVELT – Somewhere In The City II
Back for a second year, Roosevelt again bring their ‘Somewhere in the City’ show to the Globe: this time with a batch of new numbers to complement their back catalogue.
And what a catalogue it is: with three albums of self-penned songs, a slot on Bob Harris’ Radio 2 Best of British Rock show, and an appearance on the soundtrack of a BAFTA winning film alongside Welsh luminaries David Gray and The Stereophonics.
Fellow musician Burke Shelley, of legendary heavy rockers Budgie, once described Roosevelt as ‘Cardiff’s best kept secret’.  But that was then and this is now, and the secret is well and truly out.
Roosevelt honed their musical skills in the pubs and clubs of South Wales – and particularly their hometown of Cardiff: the breeding ground of so much musical talent. With ‘Somewhere in the City’ once again they celebrate South Wales’ rich musical heritage, and acknowledge the debt they owe to those heroes that have influenced their own eclectic sound.
And joining Roosevelt for this gig is amazing singer/songwriter Bryony Sier.  A show not to be missed.
